Oris Stuart III
Member, Strategic Advisory Committee
Oris Stuart III is a Member of the Strategic Advisory Committee of NMS. Mr. Stuart is recognized as a skilled leader, creative strategist, and dynamic and effective facilitator. He is an organizational, strategic, and technology consulting veteran who has helped board members, chief executives, and senior leaders address a wide range of global talent, diversity, and inclusion challenges. His industry experience includes work with financial services, utility, quick service restaurant, retail, professional services, and healthcare organizations.
Mr. Stuart serves at the Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer for the National Basketball Association. He is responsible for coordinating diversity and inclusion activities at a league level including providing best practices and leadership on diversity to the league offices and teams, identifying minority and women suppliers for programs and events, creating mentoring and coaching programs for people of color and women, and creating a global diversity and inclusion council at the league level to ensure engagement on initiatives across the enterprise.
Hired as chief operating officer for Global Lead in 2001, he led the expansion of the firm’s consulting and e-learning platforms and its evolution into Global Novations, a leading talent management organization in its space. The firm grew tenfold during his tenure, prior to its 2012 acquisition by Korn Ferry.
Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Mr. Stuart had a distinguished career as a senior business manager, strategy consultant, and technology leader for such organizations as Wingspan Technology, Providian Direct Insurance, and Deloitte Touche.
Mr. Stuart graduated from University of Virginia with an electrical engineering degree and holds a master of business administration (MBA) degree from Duke University where he was a Fuqua Scholar and National Black MBA Scholarship recipient.
