H2O Plus is a leading developer, manufacturer and marketer of prestige, branded, natural skincare products for the face and body. Founded in 1989, H2O Plus created significant brand equity through its market leadership in water-based skincare, a distinct and highly leverageable position within a growing segment of “natural” personal care products. Within its primary product categories of skincare and bath & body, the company offers an expansive portfolio of 500 proprietary company-owned formulas that provide solutions to virtually all skincare needs.
Following the acquisition of H2O Plus, a number of key strategic initiatives were put in place in partnership with management to drive the growth and value of the H2O Plus brand. Elements of the strategy included investing in the development of a top-tier management team under the leadership of Bob Seidl, building upon H2O Plus’ strong position in Asian markets to achieve further international growth, and providing additional capital resources around key aspects of brand development, including packaging, messaging, and web site development. From 2008 to 2011, H2O Plus was able to more than double its global points of distribution from approximately 1,200 to 2,700.
In 2011, NMS sold H2O Plus to Pola Orbis Holdings Inc., a publicly traded personal care products company headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
