New MainStream Capital (“NMS”) is a private investment firm specializing in strategic equity investments of lower middle market companies with an emphasis on sustainable growth trends. The Firm’s formation and heritage date back to the spin-out of a group of portfolio companies from the Goldman Sachs Merchant Banking Division in 2010. The two Managing Partners of the Firm were jointly responsible for the investment and management of the portfolio companies within Goldman Sachs prior to the spin-out forming NMS.
The principals of NMS have made numerous investments in middle market companies. We believe that the consistent application of our investment philosophy, while remaining adaptable to the specifics of each transaction, has been an essential ingredient to our investment strategy.
We partner with leading executives to build world-class companies. We believe that the Firm’s “center of gravity” is establishing alliances with senior management of individual companies, and that successful investing can best be achieved by cultivating the complementary strengths of capital partners and management partners.
NMS focuses on companies headquartered in North America. The firm’s investment strategy leverages a growth-focused, theme driven investment process. We focus on two target sectors:
- Healthcare services
- Business services
NMS focuses on equity investments ranging from $10 million to $50 million. We typically target private companies with enterprise values less than $150 million and revenue of $25 – $150 million.
